Playcourt of Shuttle(cock)s/birds is a body of works that emerges from a history of colonisation and diffusion of culture under globalisation. Badminton was invented by the British but was first played in India. It was then diffused to more East Asia countries. In the game where the bird swiftly shuttling back and forth as hit by two to more players, it presents beyond a simple competition. It is a sculpture where a standard length of a badminton net being broken down into 4 pieces and rejoin to form a circle. Hundreds of used Shuttle(cock)s/birds are hung from the inner side of the net, seeking a way out.
